Jason S. Berman, PhD, CGP
Hello and thank you for visiting my site. This website serves both to tell you about the services I offer but also to give resources from the world of psychology, media, culture to help you develop a fuller, happier life. Psychotherapy—a way to “talk it out” – whether one on one, or in group therapy – is a healthy way to process troubling thoughts, feelings and conflict as you long as you do it with a trustworthy and safe person and confidentially. If you don’t talk it out, you can possibly “act it out” with low self-worth, depression, anxiety, addictions, anger ourward or inward, problems in relationships, and other struggles.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and nationally certified Group Therapy in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas with significant experience in helping reflective men and women with depression, anxiety, and other inner struggles or inhibitions.
After growing up in greater Los Angeles, I studied psychology and philosophy at Baylor University. I then went to the University of Haifa in Israel to study psychological issues in an international context. Living and studying in Israel was one of the highlights of my life. It was in Israel that I decided that becoming a psychologist would allow me to both engage my mind and help people.
It was from Haifa, Israel that I was accepted to the PhD program in clinical psychology at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. Since that time I have continued in on-going training opportunities in clinical psychology, group psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. I began training in psychoanalysis in Kansas City and I am now an advanced candidate of the Dallas Psychoanalytic Center (DPC), American Psychoanalytic Association and the American Group Psychotherapy Association.
My life involves cultivating a private practice in Richardson in adddition to family, love of animals and faith.
